I didn’t sleep well. I
woke up in the night with terrible indigestion. So we have a fairly late start. While it is still a bit cooler, I spend the rest of the
morning making Ratatouille. That
really makes me hot! But I now
have a good 6-8 portions. I will
feed some to the Luries tomorrow.
I’m afraid this isn’t much of a sailing story as we have decided to
stay here in Samos for at least two more days. But there is some sailing news. After I finish cooking we go to find the chandlery and
supermarket to see to our gas canister.
When we go to the supermarket the lady we saw yesterday says that her
canister is the same as ours. So
we hand it to her to swap for a full one when she says the one we have is
full! She even weighs it to prove
that it is full of gas. Neither R
nor I can understand it. We are
certain that we decided not to buy new gas bottles to keep on the boat over the
winter. So it is all a real
mystery. Later in the afternoon R
puts the “new” bottle on just to convince me that it really is full and it fits
our connection. Which is does, so
still an unsolved mystery.
Another hot afternoon on the beach and then back to the boat. We have a cocktail with Marion at the
bar across from the boat. We feel
we must give them business because we have been using their free WIFI which
gets to the boat and their toilet for the past two days!
Dinner on board and we are now just cooling down in a brisk
breeze.
Sound like you are having fun. I am not going to feel sorry for you being hot when all we get is rain. Can we have some photos please?
